Victoria is a graduate from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. For over a decade she has created 3 Dimensional illustrations for childrens books, posters, magazine covers and articles. Her work was regularly featured in Sesame Street Magazine, and appeared in the New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, Disney Adventures, on Nickelodeon , Scholastic, Inc. and many others.

 

Victoria’s first picture book Brown Cow Green Grass Yellow Mellow Sun, received rave reviews and was featured in the New York Times Sunday Book Review. Child magazine selected it as one of the best picture books of the year and Disney Magazine featured an interview with Victoria about her process. The original art work for the book was shown at the exhibition of American Artists for Children at “Nello Studio di OZ” in Bologna, Italy and in Barcelona. Some of Victoria’s other books include: Bumble Bee, written by the late author, Margaret Wise Brown, of the classic Goodnight Moon, received a glowing review in Parenting Magazine as one of the top 10 books of the year, and Still-Life Stew was a book of special note in Kirkus Reviews. She illustrated Johnny Appleseed and other stories, poems and themes for many school books, presenting and conducting workshops at schools in New Jersey and New York.


Victoria’s art has toured the Childrens Museum in Chicago, Indianapolis, Seattle, and Pittsburgh. Her art work has been exhibited in Denver and New York City. It is in school collections and is part of the permanent collection at the Mazza Foundation in Ohio. She received an award for a full page magazine illustration from the Society of Publication Designers’ annual Spot Competition, and received several awards in the 3-Dimensional Awards annual.


Victoria creates her 3-Dimensional art work combining modeling clay, paint and a variety of materials. Her biggest inspiration comes from textures and patterns found in everyday household items. Victoria and her husband photograph the work in their home in Seattle, Washington.
